Some 300 supporters rallying outside Tymoshenko's prison

More than 300 supporters of Ukraine's former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko are holding a rally dedicated to the International Day of Political Prisoners outside Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv, where the ex-premier is serving her prison term.

Delegates from the Kyiv and Kherson branches of the Batkivschyna all-Ukrainian Union are taking part in the rally, a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine reported.

MP Yuriy Odarchenko told reporters that the protesters brought books and personal care items, which they intended to give to the former prime minister.
