On the move: Alexey Khomyakov, Asters
Feb 16 at 21:04 | Kyiv PostAsters is pleased to announce that Alexey Khomyakov has joined the firm as counsel specializing in tax, corporate and M&A practices.
Mr. Khomyakov has 8 years of experience in handling the tax aspects of sophisticated cross-border transactions for major Ukrainian corporations and advising international and local clients on Ukrainian tax law.
He also has extensive knowledge of asset management, stock exchanges, securities and foreign investments.
Prior to joining Asters, Mr. Khomyakov worked as Chief Tax Officer at the Energy Standard Group, a group of companies engaged in various fields of business in the CIS region.
He also worked as a Senior Tax Consultant at KPMG Ukraine, providing tax opinions to local and international clients regarding tax management, modeling and restructuring businesses in the most tax efficient manner.
While working at KPMG Ukraine, Alexey performed full-scope due diligence and tax compliance reviews for various businesses and industries following IFRS and US GAAP financial audit standards.
Mr. Khomyakov holds a Master's in law and international business from the Institute of International Relations at Kyiv National University. He was admitted to the bar in Ukraine in 2008. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
